"Some wolfs need that freedom. You could need it more than anyone right now. I am simply saying that if we dont do this, we will be the hunted." Cal's face stayed the simple mix of nothing.

"Yeah I know what you mean Cal... thanks." Ahan replied. He inwardly sighed with a sort of disappointment that may or may not have showed on his face. He needed a friend and even Cal who had no emotions could have been kinder to him by offering a little bit of forced sympathy. Surely there was no way to completely eclipse somebody's heart?

"Time to show them our power." Cal leaped into the alley and ran as fast as he could.

"If you say so." he said with a shrug, running top speed parallel with Cal. His fur became a blur as he rushed past the darkened streets of the human's filthy city. Was this all really so worth it...?

Cal leaped over a few trash cans, and leaped onto a small porch. Gun shots bounced off the sides of the houses as she realized they were being followed. She sighed and picked up her pace and dashed after Ahan.

Ahan glanced back. How in the hell did we switch spots when I was the one following HER? he wondered in an almost amused sort of way. Then his eyes widened in fear as he dodged a bullet by jumping to the side. "Cal! Heads up!"

She let her human form take her, and he landed a perfect summer sault. She smiled at the show off move. She took a gun from her side and shot a bullet at a unnoticable guard. She reloaded it and shot again, then running after Ahan.

Ahan glanced behind himself. He barked at her, "Why the heck are you in human form Cal?" He secretly wondered if he himself should shift. While the thought held his attention he suddenly howled in pain and lost his footing. The wolf found himself tumbling forward as his gate was thrown off and blood ran down his leg. He cussed loudly.

Cal leaped forward and picked up the wounded wolf. Her strength was more than a normal human. She leaped as gun shots leaped across the ground. Cal tumpled towards the ground with a thud. Her brown human hair fell over her shoulders. Her leg snapped, and she screamed out loud. She threw Ahan towards a alley. She pulled out a small iron ball, and pulled a plug on it and threw it back. She moved back to Ahan as the ball exploded and sent little needles into the humans.

Ahan winced, his ears pinning straight back against his neck. He heard the explosion and the cries of the humans but that wasn't what bothered him, his own pain did. "Thanks for the save, Cal." he said quietly. He knew there were more humans out there besides these ones. Despite any risk the mission needed to be completed. He'd press on once he got back on his feet.

"Dont think about it. I just do what seems good." She could feel her anckle throbbing. She looked at it in wonder. What was this pain? Was she really feeling pain? She shook her head and bounced back to her feet. "Time to do this mission right."

He sighed. How nice it must be to not have to feel that sensation of pain... it was something that could cripple or empower and at the moment it was doing the former and not the latter for Ahan. The red wolf struggled to his three remaining paws and nodded. "Onwards. I guess."

Cal looked to Ahan and ran into her wolf form. She dashed and saw all of the bodies lying. "Opps."

Ahan inclined his head a little. "You did a good job, Cal. No need to say 'oops' about it. It wasn't dead wolves so we're safe."

Cal sighed and put her back against a wall. "What does pain feel like?"
