(setting up the thread here so our growing pack can have a meeting and maybe a little adventure. Jeremy please make sure you post since you're the leader. Thank you!)
The dark red wolf sat rigid and unmoving like a statue of perfect diligence. His eyes, however, followed the movement around him. In their pack's delicate balance it was best to watch those who were pacing...especially once their leader had started to speak. His mind was already on the track of his job, dreaming up new strategies against the humans that would be effective even with the Rebel Pack's small number of members. Still he thought the best mission for now would be to seek out some more wolves and get them to join. Surely it wouldn't take much convincing? Didn't all wolves have the same opinion of the humans? It was time to strike back!
Ahan felt no doubt on his mind that they could indeed gain more members just by simply asking but if force ended up being needed he had the means and the intelligence to do so. At last he broke out of his statuesque appearance and stood, shaking out his fur. The spiked collar around his neck rattled for a moment as the metal clip holding it around his neck chinked against the clip's outer rim. A wolf thought twice before an attempt to kill him. A bite to the neck was fine and dandy...if you didn't get one of the huge metal spikes jabbed into your muzzle in the process. It was more for self defense than appearance really, though he'd never tell.
Hoping he wouldn't get any sort of retaliation, Ahan opened his mouth and spoke. His voice wasn't gruff but nor did it hold the innocence of youth. Here was wolf in his prime...forced to hide like a dog. That would change. The Rebels would be sure of it.
"Zarna, can you please do something? I'm pretty sure the rest of us are falling asleep on our paws!" he sighed. Zarna wasn't one for humor but he probably wouldn't consider it a mistake for Ahan to come up with a joke to lighten up the heavy mood of the pack. Right?
This building is a dump... I wish we could find a nicer place to meet. Even behind a dumpster would be better! Sheesh... Zarna's always having us move around the trash heaps. he complained in a mental note.
